Medical Eye Care

The eyes are the windows to the body; many diseases affect the eye and are seen in the eye. The eyes are the only parts of the body where one can see part of the brain (the optic nerves) and the smallest of the blood vessels within the body (within the retina). As medically trained specialists, we diagnose, treat, and manage many systemic manifestations of eye diseases, as well as diseases of the eye themselves. These include:

  • Age related macular degeneration (AMD)
  • Allergic conjunctivitis
  • Amblyopia
  • Astigmatism
  • Blepharitis
  • Cataracts
  • Chalazia/hordeolum, or styes
  • Conjunctivitis
  • Corneal abrasion
  • Corneal foreign bodies
  • Corneal ulcers
  • Diabetic retinopathy
  • Dry eye disease
  • Fuchs corneal dystrophy
  • Glaucoma
  • Hypermetropia, or far-sightedness
  • Hypertension
  • Keratitis
  • Myopia, or near-sightedness
  • Pterygium
