Dry Eye Clinic

Dry Eye Syndrome is an eye disorder characterized by a lack of oil or tears in the exterior layer of the eye. While the severity of symptoms will vary from patient to patient, most Dry Eye Syndrome sufferers may experience the following: frequent irritation or stinging in the eyes, a feeling of having a foreign particle in the eye, red sclera, a burning sensation, occasionally blurred vision, and watery/teary eyes. The condition can be exacerbated by common lifestyle risk factors, which include prescription and over-the-counter medications like antihistamines and anti-depressants, prolonged screen exposure through computer and cellphone use, the wearing of contact lenses, low humidity environments, and pre-existing health issues such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis.

You don't have to suffer from the debilitating effects of Dry Eye Syndrome. Our ophthalmology center offers a comprehensive selection of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to accurately diagnose the specific type of dry eye and administer the optimal corresponding treatment.
